Counseling Services Provided
Individual Therapy
We provide a safe space for self-discovery, supporting you through life transitions, stress management, and personal development. We specialize in EMDR Therapy and may use other techniques to help you reach your goals. We don’t want you to be distracted by all the psychology lingo and methods.
Our goal is to help you deeply understand yourself and discover what truly supports your recovery journey—and what holds you back. This self-awareness will empower you to make challenging, yet necessary, changes. It’s incredibly encouraging to realize you’re not alone in taking these steps. Counseling is a deliberate move towards new self-discovery, and this journey was never meant to be walked alone. It is my honor to accompany you.
EMDR Therapy
Trauma-based therapies, including EMDR, are designed to help individuals move beyond simply coping with trauma to truly processing and integrating their experiences, fostering resilience and significantly improving overall quality of life.
EMDR can also be effective for other mental health issues, such as anxiety, chronic pain, depression, and addiction
Build Emotion Resilience
Life’s challenges and daily stressors can be overwhelming, especially when we haven’t learned to navigate them or understand our own emotions. This can deplete our confidence and resilience, making it hard to bounce back.
We empower individuals to build emotional resilience by providing practical tools that boost confidence and help you design the life you envision for yourself and your family. Often, clients achieve these goals within just a few sessions.
For more immediate support, Direct Neurofeedback (DNF) offers a powerful intervention, providing rapid relief so you can face life’s challenges with a clear mind, greater effectiveness, and confidence.
Anxiety-OCD Therapy
OCD is often misunderstood, and it can take years for a proper diagnosis. We understand how isolating OCD can be. You are not alone! There is hope, and change is possible.
I am an expert in treating OCD with exposure and response prevention to help you learn how to tolerate discomfort, resist your compulsions, and overcome your fears.
Regardless of how OCD or Anxiety shows up, I am dedicated to helping you. We will actively practice these new ERP skills together.
Exposure Therapy for Anxiety
Anxiety, though not the cause of OCD, is a significant driver, and these conditions frequently co-occur. Both OCD and anxiety are characterized by “what if” and catastrophic thinking and an intense need for familiarity, reassurance, and certainty. This often results in a pattern of avoidance, keeping individuals trapped in a cycle of doubt and fear.
Our approach empowers you to break this cycle. We’ll guide you in constructing a fear hierarchy, equip you with effective distress tolerance skills, and help you build the resilience to conquer your deepest fears.
Conquer OCD with Exposure and Response Prevention
ERP is recognized as the gold-standard treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Through this powerful approach, you’ll learn to gradually and safely confront your fears (exposure) and effectively resist the urge to perform rituals (response prevention). ERP helps rewire your brain’s responses through direct experience, leading to profound change that goes beyond just talking.
Your journey starts with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and a personalized treatment plan. You’ll actively engage in behavioral and goal planning to apply new skills between sessions. As a form of cognitive behavioral therapy, ERP emphasizes practical, real-life application, guiding you through both in-vivo (real-life) and/or imaginal exposures.
To support your success, we also incorporate family interventions to reduce accommodations and will work actively to keep you motivated, addressing any potential barriers. We’re also available to consult with schools or other community supports as needed.
OCD Themes Treated
I specialize in many OCD subtypes: Harm OCD, Checking, Just-Right OCD, Scrupulosity, Magical Thinking OCD, Contamination OCD, etc.
Is Direct Neurofeedback included?
Yes, it absolutely can be. The synergy between ERP therapy and Direct Neurofeedback (DNF) is a truly powerful intervention. We often observe rapid and substantial client improvements when these modalities are combined.
Biblical Christian Counseling
Our approach combines biblical principles to guide you toward healing through the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, who serve as our ultimate counselors. Engaging in spiritual discussions and experiencing biblical transformation of hope and healing is my preferred way to assist my clients.
Let’s face it—life can feel unbearable when God feels distant.
We serve a God of restoration and hope, and my desire for you is to find that in your daily life. It is my honor to walk this journey with you, together with the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit beside on as we seek His peace and His hope.
Scripture Based
Our approach emphasizes accountability, guided by the Word of God. We openly explore how sin and shame can hinder us and create distance from God.
Honesty
Our commitment is to walk with you as you rebuild a close, intimate relationship with Jesus. We recognize the pain well-intentioned comments from others, even fellow Christians, can feel hurtful and alienate or shame us, making you question your spiritual journey. We truly understand these common struggles that sometimes lead to deep wounds. We desire to assist you in achieving the vibrant and deeper connection with God you desire.
Chronic Pain Therapy
Kiki Tilton is a Freedom From Chronic Pain Pratitioner. She has experience working with client who struggle with fibromyalgia, migraines, dizziness, back pain, and IBS.
We work with Neurocircuit Disorders, also known as Mind-Body Syndrome. MBS implies the absence of structural damage. Therefore, clearance to rule out any underlying structural/medical issues is a vital first step; we help support you after the medical interventions, and doctors basically do not know what to do.
Our goal is to help you alleviate stress and physical symptoms by fostering new, healthy “corrective” emotional experiences and turning of the pain signals in the brain.
Our Goals for you:
Our goal is to reshape your brain pathways, leading to significant improvements in pain and other related symptoms. We’ll guide you in understanding your brain’s signals and how it learns to perceive and manage pain more effectively.
Fibromyalgia
Having lived with chronic back pain since my teenage years—nearly two decades now—I intimately understand the overwhelming and debilitating cycle of fear it creates. You are not alone; I truly know how you feel. More importantly, I know there’s a new way to approach your pain and discover a path forward. It will be a process and won’t be a quick fix, but I know this is possible for you. It would be my privilege to walk this journey alongside you.
How We Treat Chronic Pain
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) EMDR therapy is increasingly utilized to help manage chronic pain, particularly for individuals with a history of trauma and high emotional distress. It aims to address the psychological factors contributing to pain, ultimately improving overall quality of life for those with chronic pain conditions.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) helps your brain relearn that pain and other physical symptoms are not dangerous. It teaches your brain to recognize these sensations as merely faulty warning signals, using various techniques to calm the brain and break the fear cycle often associated with chronic pain.
Similar to PRT, Emotional Awareness and Expression Training (EAET) guides your brain to understand that emotions themselves are not harmful. This approach facilitates a deeper healing process by encouraging safe engagement with your emotional landscape.

Parenting Skill Relationship Enhancement
When tantrums strike, the instinct is often to focus solely on behavior modification. Yet, the parent-child relationship is profoundly more impactful during your child’s most challenging moments. While it’s natural for parents to seek space when overwhelmed, children can perceive this, often leading to an increase in undesirable behaviors.
We will provide you with practical, actionable exercises to engage with your child so they feel deeply seen, heard, and valued. Our experience consistently shows that when relationship enhancements are prioritized, the need for strict behavior management significantly decreases. We are eager to teach you and your child an evidence-based method to foster a stronger, more resilient relationship.
Parenting Skills Behavior Management
Understanding Behavior & Fostering Positive Change
Nearly all behavior serves a purpose: to gain something desired (like attention, an item, or control) or to avoid something unwanted (such as chores, ending a fun activity, or consequences).
To effectively change most children’s behavior, it’s crucial to modify the environment. This ensures that unwanted behaviors no longer yield their intended results, while positive, alternative behaviors are consistently rewarded and effective in all settings.
Our Approach:
- Weekly Goal: Each session, parents/caregivers identify one specific behavior to focus on. You’ll learn 1-2 practical skills to implement at home.
- “You-Work” is Key: Progress stems from changes implemented at home, not merely from discussing them in sessions.
This is all part of our Relationship Enhancement Behavior Management approach, designed to empower you to create lasting positive change.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma can lead to dysregulation that impacts our sense of safety and keeps our body stuck in a fight-or-flight mode. With the assistance of Direct Neurofeedback, this treatment helps to calm the nervous system, in particular your rest and digest part, which is the Parasympathetic Nervous System.
Our goal is to enhance your emotional regulation, foster a sense of safety, release past shame or difficult memories and strengthen resilience, and restore trust in yourself, your relationships, and your connection with God.
EMDR
EMDR therapy is highly valued for its targeted approach to reprocessing traumatic memories, often leading to rapid and profound reductions in emotional distress and symptoms like flashbacks. When combined with a trauma-informed approach, which prioritizes safety, trustworthiness, and client empowerment throughout the entire therapeutic process, clients gain a holistic environment where healing can truly flourish. Trauma-based therapies, including EMDR, are designed to help individuals move beyond simply coping with trauma to truly processing and integrating their experiences, fostering resilience and significantly improving overall quality of life.
Direct Neurofeedback
Through EMDR and Direct Neurofeedback, we help you build resilience and effectively process challenging emotions related to trauma.
